CODE REQUIRED SIGNAGE -
Certain types of signage are required on every project to meet federal, state and local code. ADA, in addition to local fire and building codes, is very specific with respect to signage. Beyond the requirement that your facility have certain sign types, ADA requires that signage have adequate contrast between copy and background, specifies acceptable and unacceptable fonts, character size and even field size for pictograms. Further, the code calls out the mounting position on the wall and the distance that suspended signs should hang above the floor. However, what is important to know, is that compliance is built into every sign. Plus, our installers are trained in ADA to assure you of a job both beautiful and in compliance with code. We've handled it, so you don't have to!
IDENTIFICATION SIGNAGE -
Identification signage comprises the majority of most signage systems. All room identification must have raised text and Braille. Beyond room identification, you'll want to review signage options for work stations, application for dimensional letters and applied vinyl. And give thought to the handling of your corporate identity...your signage system should be a vehicle for expression...reinforcing your brand and communicating who you are. We'll show you how!
WAYFINDING SIGNAGE -
Wayfinding refers to the process of creating an "information path" to specific destinations within a facility. For most projects, well designed and properly placed signage is all that is required for effient wayfinding.
